About Us

On Thursday nights, the billiards room clears out and a live ballroom band takes over the dance floor. By Friday, a different act is on stage and the room is packed with regulars who have been coming here for decades. That rhythm, two nights of live music every single week, is what sets Lakewood Elks Lodge apart from every other gathering spot in Jefferson County.

The Lodge sits at 1455 Newland St and has earned a 4.5-star reputation across 151 reviews by doing something simple: treating every person who walks through the door like they belong. Members enjoy discounted drinks at the bar, access to the billiards room, and a dance floor that actually gets used. The staff is genuinely friendly, and the space is large enough to host a company Christmas party or an intimate family dinner without feeling like either is out of place.

The Lodge is also a committed supporter of American veterans, channeling Elks charitable programs directly into the local military community. If you have been looking for a place where conversation flows as easily as the drinks and the music is live, not a playlist, this is it.

What We Offer

Membership at Lakewood Elks comes with real, tangible perks. Discounted bar pricing means your dollar stretches further every visit. The billiards room is available to members throughout the week, giving you a relaxed spot to unwind after work or on weekends.

The Lodge is a proven event venue for groups of all sizes. Local companies have used it for holiday parties, and families return for reunions and milestone celebrations. The friendly staff handles the logistics so you can focus on the people around you. Private event rental is available, and the space accommodates everything from a seated dinner to a full dance night with a live band.

Live entertainment runs on a consistent schedule: ballroom music every Thursday and a rotating lineup of bands every Friday night. These are not background performances. They are the main event, drawing dancers, music fans, and anyone who just wants a lively room with good company and an affordable drink in hand.

"Good membership perks: cheaper drinks, billiards room, etc. A nice dance floor with hired talent 2x/week + 💃🏼🕺. A great supporter of our men and women Veterans! …Younger at heart, I’d like to see more 40’s and 30’s aged people to keep and make this a classy “joint,” Noir style, or Bond, James Bond style, dress collar-ed and less sport jersey unless it’s game day! 🏈⚽️ on the tele 📺. Professional kitchen for rent, with table seating: great for wedding receptions, office galas, charity events, etc. And, oh yeah, B. I. N. G. O. ! ¿Jazz band night? ¿‘80’s night? ¿Country night? More ideas to make this a great club? Join us to become members!"

"Good place for gathering with family and friends. Live ballroom music on Thursdays and an assortment of different bands on Friday nights! Great place for sen-agers to gather, break bread, socialize, and dance! Holiday themed events monthly. Lots to do with Shuffleboard, Darts, nice pool tables, boardgames, puzzles & books. Let's not forget Bingo! It's also good for empty nesters who are looking for a place to enjoy reasonably priced libations and meet new people. This organization has many opportunities to support the veterans, as well as children in the local community. Check it out ... you just might have a good time."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
